About
After graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S in Environmental Science & Management and Environmental Soil Science in 2017, Eric began his career working for a land development consulting firm in northwestern Maine. Over the years, he has gained experience working across New England at both large and small consulting firms, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the industry. His work has ranged from residential septic designs for camps in Maine to large-scale wetland delineations and permitting efforts for airports.
Eric founded Old North Environmental in hopes to grow a business that provides exceptional consulting services in environmental sciences.
Eric lives in Topsham, Maine, with his wife and their pets.

Name & Logo
The name “Old North Environmental” is inspired by “Old North Road”, the street where Eric grew up. It was in this neighborhood that he first explored and developed a deep appreciation for the surrounding natural resources. The company’s name reflects the importance of the natural spaces that shape us—whether it’s the vast forests where you’ve hunted or the small pond you frequently visited in a local park.
The logo draws inspiration from the unique color gradation of Maine’s State Soil, Chesuncook. Chesuncook soils belong to the Spodosol series, known for their distinct pinkish-gray horizon. This gray layer forms as iron, aluminum, and organic compounds leach from the upper soil layers due to acidic water, leaving behind an ashy, weathered appearance and dark reddish brown colors below.
